It is widely known that the incoming Trump administration intends to focus on immigration laws, tax policy, and labor regulations. Employers can expect a return to increased Form I-9 audits and aggressive and disruptive worksite enforcement actions.
While all employers will be impacted by these changes, those who rely on foreign nationals with temporary work authorization will be disproportionately impacted as work authorization documents become more difficult to obtain and immigrant labor sources become more restricted.
